Examples for Active Objects

The examples on this page use an imaginary website to show you what you can do with Active Objects. (So please don't try to bring your Ferrari to us for service... ;-)

Sitemap

The sitemap provides visitors of your website with an overview of all pages and shows them as a clickable tree view. No further configuration is needed. In the tab Extended | View you can select between one-column and multi-column view.

Search

The search function provides visitors of your website with a full text content search. Under Extended | View you can choose between a Javascript-based search (that's the default view "Sitesearch") or a server-side search with ASP or PHP.
If you select a server-side search you have to make sure that the fitting filetype is selected. You can change the filetype in the page's properties under Paths and Folders | Filetype. Furthermore, the chosen technology has to be supported by your webhoster.

Photo Album

There you can create an album and import the pictures you want to show. Additionally you can specify the width of the thumbnails and the number of thumbnails per line.
