About the Forms Designer

The additional module Forms Designer lets you publish forms to your website without any HTML or script programming knowledge. With these forms you allow your vistors to send information by E-mail.

It is flexible, so that you can determine yourself which fields are mandatory.

How to create a new form

Select the command "Manage | Manage Forms":

In the "Manage Forms" dialog you'll find an overview of all forms of your website.

To create a new form click on the button "New...". First you should give your new form a name:

Then you can add input-fields to your form. All field-types, that are available in the HTML-standard are possible.

Next you must define how the form will be processed:

  • E-mail
    Determines to which e-mail address the form-input will be sent.
  • Subject
    Determines the subject of the sent e-mail message.
  • Success-URL
    Determines the page that is shown after sending the form when no error occurred.
  • Error-URL
    Determines the page that is shown after trying to send the form but an error occurred.
  • Script
    Determines the script that is responsible for processing the form. This value should not be changed.
  • Template
    This value should not be changed.

Important: For your forms to be sent don't forget to setup the "www-base-address" field in the website settings. Otherwise you get the error "page not found" from your browser after sending a form. Of course your website must be online, so that the error or success-page can be shown.

How to put a form onto your website

Select the page in the structure-tree where you want to insert the form.

Now select the command "Insert | Insert form":

If you have several forms on your website a select-dialog will appear from which you can choose the desired form, otherwise if you only have one form, the form will be directly inserted into the selected page.
